For 2010, the volume has been extensively revised and updated, with new data on reservoir and well analysis, and new tables and diagrams. The discovered and not-yet-developed fields are also discussed, consisting in total of 80 fields.

The recent updates include:

  • Drilling and testing of over 80 key wells, including exploration and early-development wells
  • Additional information on the fields with schematic sections
  • Updates on production potential of each field and Iraq as a whole
  • The results of the Second Bidding Round for Licences, plus discussion of the bidding process and the expected PPTs (Production Plateau Targets) of all the fields
